We went to the Tybee Island beach on Saturday which is about as far away as going to Walmart from the Kodiak USCG base.

This is South Beach where all of the hotels are and people were enjoying the waves that tropical storm Fay had created.

Even though it was a red flag day, lots of people were attempting to do some surfing.

Here I am standing on the pier and it was slightly windy.....and as you can see my belly isn't getting any smaller....

This is North Beach where most of the locals hang out.....
I love watching the Pelicans, they just look so prehistoric.....

A few people were windsurfing which is pretty interesting to watch...all in all a nice, sunny, windy, 85F day at the beach.

D. is enjoying a soak in the spa. After all of the work he's done in the backyard he deserves it. Most of the patio is done and the spa, which we got from one of our realtor's other clients, seems to work pretty well.

More Savannah-backyard-wildlife pics. We do have animals, other than bugs, that are sort of cute....I almost stepped on this little guy.

Feed them, and they will come. These are a little blurry because D. took them through the window but the birds are pretty nevertheless.
At some point we had five birds trying to chow down at the same time. We also have a hummingbird feeder and 3 hummingbirds but those little buggers are just too fast for the camera.
And then came the squirrel to try and get in on the free buffet.......

Now that we're all unpacked and settled in, we finally ventured to downtown Savannah. Of course we had to stop at River Street and walk around.

I thought this was funny...E. has a jewelry booth.......

View of the bridge going over to Hilton Head, SC... We'll be driving there another weekend.
We also went to the cemetery where the statue from "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" is/was. Apparently it's at the local museum now since people were vandalizing and chipping pieces off it......

Since I got several requests here it is my big belly at 16weeks. It's huge even though I haven't gained a pound, yet but thankfully the MD assured me that all is fine. It'll be interesting to see how much bigger it'll get in the next 5+ months........
