We drove out to Hilton Head SC yesterday it was nice but I do like our local beach a little better.
We had nice father's day and I do realize how amazing D. is as a Dad. I also know that I don't say thank you often enough so here I go:Thank you, for getting up with her on your days off.
Thank you, for changing countless poopy diapers.
Thank you, for spending hours putting her crib together and a ceiling fan up even though she hasn't slept in her room, yet.
Thank you, for just being you and keeping both of us calm and happy.
And a million thanks for everything else you do....
S. is so very lucky to have you as her Dad!!!!

10 things I said I would NEVER do but have now done:
10. Walked down the pink isle at Toys 'R' Us
9. bought a pink dress for the baby
8. Said baba-gaga-gugu in public
7. have baby toys and gear spread around the house.
6. a baby sleeping in our room 5 months and counting
5. left the house in sweat pants and a t-shirt
4. had a play date
3. been all proud when people say oh how cute
2. 5 million baby pics on the blog
1. have a 20 minute in depth conversation about baby poop
So here you go I admit it!

Aren't those two just the cutest babies? Sara had a little friend over and I think she had fun.
It's so nice to have another mom to talk to and to exchange ideas and experiences. I got so lonely that I posted an add on Craigslist and thankfully S. responded and I was able to meet her and a few other new moms. One of my friends warned me that it's almost like dating: "Hey, how old is your baby, you wanna hang out ?"Saturday, June 13, 2009

Open mouth, insert foot! That's exactly what some lady did at the store yesterday. I suddenly heard: "Oh, look at dat fat baby". I didn't say anything but as she walked away I said:"oh, look at that fat butt". She wasn't too happy about that. So all I'm saying is that I'm tired of people calling her fat or chubby. As far as the MD is concerned she's doing just fine and needs the extra pounds for brain development. Is society really that obsessed with being thin that we now expect our babies to be a size zero???? OK, I'm done venting now and back to enjoying life with my perfect baby girl.
