My parents came all the way from Germany to visit with us. I think they had a pretty nice time while they were here. We went hiking all over the island and trust me when I tell you that they can walk much faster than us.

We went fishing but didn't catch much of anything only seaweed and sticks....
This is after the boat trip on my friends boat. Even though both of my parents felt a little sea sick they enjoyed the view and we even had fresh sea bass for dinner.
All of the hiking wore Devin out and he almost didn't make it up the hill.........
This was one of my parents favorite place......Lake Gertrud we even came here twice....

They got to see every form of wildlife on the island.....whales, puffins, sea otters, eagles, foxes, deer, rabbits, and even......

Yes, even bears two bears in two days that not the luck of the Irish but in this case the luck of the Germans. The first bear we saw stood in the middle of the road but we didn't have our cameras out and ready. This bear was another story. We left my dad on top of the hill to get closer. The bear saw us and started running......not away from us but toward us......we had to rescue my poor dad via car but thankfully all went well....
This is what could have happened and we learned to leave nobody behind when there's a bear around. I'm quite certain that both of my parents will tell their bear story for many, many years to come.
